Commanded Love

In the sinless Eden environment of Creation, there was no command to love. In the sinless Eden environment of eternity, there will be no command to love. In a world wrecked with sin, however, we are commanded to love God and others—because sin leads us to love ourselves. Yet, Jesus seeks to restore the intimacy and fellowship of Eden until we are no longer commanded to love—we freely offer the covenant love of God!
