Follow the King

Glorying in the Cross means I am dead to the world, alive in the Spirit, and living for others as Jesus lived—and died—for me.

Spirit-filled believers gently address sin, lovingly carry burdens, generously offer resources, and faithfully follow Jesus.

The fruit of the Spirit is not formed in us through spiritual action—but through spiritual connection. 

Your love for a God you cannot see should be evident through works of love for a neighbor you can see.

We have been freed from the bondage of sin to freely follow Jesus, our Redeemer and Lord. If freedom is found in Christ, we will not find freedom apart from Christ.

Jesus doesn't call us to Himself so He can see our works. Jesus calls us to Himself so we can see His work.

The law condemns—the Gospel frees. The law says "do"—the Gospel says "done." The law is of the flesh—the Gospel is of God. As children of the promise, cast out the condemning voice of the law with faith in the promise of God and the Person of Jesus.

We know God in part—God knows us fully, yet He loves us completely!

Those who have faith in Jesus as the Messiah or Deliverer of God are no longer slaves to sin or to the law. We don't live in sin apart from God—and we don't live by the law to earn God's favor. Our faith in Jesus makes us children of God and heirs to all that is His.

The law was meant to point and protect God’s people until Jesus had completed the work of redemption. Once the work was complete, Jesus sent the Spirit to guide, convict, and lead His followers.
