The Messiah is called the Son of David for many reasons—one of them being that the kingdom reigns of David and Jesus were both revealed in stages. This helps us understand how Jesus rules on the throne today while evil is present in our world today. As believers trust the King while living in the messy, “already, but not yet” kingdom, others witness that He is a King worth trusting.
